Quote of the Day

“I often wonder whether we do not rest our hopes too much upon constitutions, upon laws, and upon courts. These are false hopes; Believe me, these are false hopes. Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it.” – Judge Learned Hand

So much of young America today has no reason to know they need to be concerned about the huge rise in socialism as that is what they have known for lots of their lifetimes. They don't realize the loss of liberty and the need for loving and cherishing liberty in their hearts. Come to think of it, even a lot of the people not considered young have also grown up thinking or saying "I live in America; that means the government takes care of me." That is a quote from a friend not quite as old as me and he said he grew up in Philadelphia and that is what they were taught -- and how grateful he became when he learned better.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, anonymous. I think you are right that it isn't just the young. In fact, I think the coming generations sense something is wrong and they are questioning it...but don't know what they can do about it yet. Some, however, are figuring it out (Alex and Brett Harris for example) The generations currently holding the most influential positions in society are those promoting and upholding the ideas that are making us weak...and potentially leading us toward failure. We need those generations to lead in a different direction and make a positive impact. At the very least, we can help plant the love of liberty in the hearts of the upcoming hero generation.

Not sure what I did to be anonymous, but it was not intentional.

Surely glad we have an upcoming hero generation to help bring America back to a strong position of real liberty. Can it happen? will it happen?

We seem to have some very powerful few who are promoting the demise of the strong and the righteous. It almost seems that the many are just trying to "live" as the few powerful have a different agenda for us.

An example: what of the possible Goldman Sachs role in the Greece financial debacle? And what might that mean to middle Europe -- France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK, etc. -- as the domino effect can move across the world?
